Cooperation

The project team is grateful to its cooperative partners for support of the research enterprise. Particular thanks are due to the GIS-Niederösterreich (NÖGIS), the Geografischen Informationsdienst des Landes Burgenland, the Salzburg GIS (SAGIS), and the GIS Steiermark for the granting of geodata. The Federal Monument Commission is thanked for support of the field work. Financing of the research project “The rural Settlements in the Hinterland of Mautern-Favianis” is made possible by the FWF.

National cooperations have been carried out with the Kultur Burgenland and the Land Niederösterreich. Research on the rural settlements of south-east Noricum, and on the municipium of Flavia Solva in Styria, is supported by the Archaeological Association of Flavia Solva and the Federal Monument Commission Styria (Univ. Doz. Dr. B. Hebert).
The Amber Route Project and research at the settlement of Frankenau/Strebersdorf are sponsored by the communities of Strebersdorf-Lutzmannsburg and Frankenau/Frakanava. The research in Immurium was sponsored by the Salzburg Museum and the Heimatmuseum Tamsweg.
