Settlement Structures along the Amber Road in Pannonia, Noricum and Regio X (Burgenland, Hungary, Slovenia)

Within the scope of a Project, begun in 2007 and focussing on the Amber Road, a wide variety of questions were raised concerning the settlement structures, military establishments and trade connections along the Amber Road. The research concentrated on the section between Scarbantia and Savaria in Austria and Hungary. In addition, the legionary camp of Ločica to the south of Celje-Celeia was investigated. In the southern hinterland of the Amber Road, the Villa Maritima of San Simone lies on the Slovenian Adriatic coast..
